Stoke Moorlands Model Show 2014.
http://smmc.moonfruit.com/ Show link for you.
What to do today. Watch the British Grand Prix NO. Watch the mens singles final at Wimbledon NO. Go to R.A.F Waddington Air Show NO. Or go to a nice model show BIG YES.
So again it was up with the larks and off to pick up my fellow model maker Terry Walton. And then venture up the worst road in the UK the M6 more road works. Why is it no one works on them a mystery to me.
Arriving at 08.30 it was a quick unload on both 580 and Leicester Modellers tables.
I should mention the venue. As in previous years it is held in a TA Centre in Stoke and is very easy to get to via J15 A500 off the M6, ST16 3HJ for those with a Sat Nav. This year there were a lot of parachutes hanging from the ceiling which made for some difficult photography, due to bad light. What was nice is they have a great bar for those with a thirst for the old amber nectar.
Once set up was done , it was time to mingle and take some images. These are below for you to see.
On to clubs. I was impressed by everyone as there were some good exhibits on show. Listings wise we had 580,Leicester Modellers, Coventry IPMS, Birmingham IPMS amongst them.
Traders now were Ian Hanratty, Kits Kits, MAN, Avid Reader, Tremendous amongst them.
Again I enjoyed this show and was impressed by the friendly banter.
I would like to give my praise to Terry Walton who got a first in the Sci-Fi class. Mark and Neil of 580 Modellers who scooped awards.
On with the image show now, hope you like them.
