HULL 16 AUGUST 2015
The time is 04.45, what time is it "Oh my God it's early"
For this show I had travelled over to Alan Browns house in Wigston Leics overnight, for an early start. So it was a nice hot shower and a monster bacon sandwich and we were on our way at 0600. First picking up our Three other members locally on route. It was then off up the M1 and across then East to Hull. We arrived at the venue, which was the Hull KC stadium around 08.50. And after eventually finding the entrance we entered and set up. My first reaction was oh this is rather small. But that initial thought was soon overtaken, by what was I can only say a Tardis of a show.
This show is brand new on our circuit for 2015. And the host club, including Wayne and Adam had put a lot of effort in to make this a grand day out.
Traders wise we had my good friend Peter Bowyer of MAN Models, all the way from Glasgow bonny Scotland. Also Collect a Kit and Gary from Tiger Models, amongst the mix. I myself was slave for the day at MAN Models and I must say we had a very good trade day.
Clubs now we had my own club Leicester Modellers, Washington, Bridlington, Cleveland amongst the mix.
The competition was open rather than a separate room entries. Judging was carried out by the club in differing categories and our own Daryl Gamble came away with some gongs.
Confirmed Clubs/Sigs Hull Scale Model Club, IPMS Cleveland. Kitmaker UK (British Bulldogs), Bridlington & Wolds, M4H Model Club. Airfix Modelling SIG , 580 Modellers, Humberside War Games . Confirmed Traders ; Collectakit, MTFG Hobbies. MAN Models, The Real Model Shop, Colonel Bills.
So on with the show.
