Above is a link into all the variants of the FV family, I hope this helps.
Over the weekend of the 23,24,25 of August 2014 the Alvis group will host the 2014 Fire Power show just outside Dunchurch not far from the A426.
I myself attended today with my friends from MAFVA. The day started a little later than I wanted due to not wanting to get out of my bed, after digging out a Pine tree stump the previous day and the following back ache. But I digress.
Meeting up in the beer tent "Where else" we planned the next few hours and then proceeded to the BATUS Chieftain MK11 for a group photograph. It was during the set up that we found out the Chieftain had been bought for some 80K and was in full running order. I think one of these is now on the wish list. After the pictures were taken we separated a bit to see what was around. Myself and friend Will proceeded to the top field, where we found lots of nice vehicles including an immaculate Landrover and plenty of the old One Ton Rovers of various types. This included a grand comms version, with full radio set up.
There were many many versions of the Scorpion type vehicles including Swingfire, Samaritan etc. I will be the first to admit I do not know all off then by any stretch. I was most interested by the Belgian hulls and have had a look into what they are all about. It transpires that 701 units were bought and they saw operational use in the Balkans and Somalia under the United Nations.
There was plenty to eat and a lot of stalls selling clothing and such things as S10 Respirators. A burger for £3 was well worth the money.
There are two arenas in which such vehicles as a F432 Mk1 was taking people on rides for £5 I think it said.
For me being a Russian tank enthusiast, it was great to see a T-55 in the flesh. And the colour intriqued me as it was a pale green.
All in all a great day and thanks to Alvis for the show.
