It was a welcome return to the Leasowes Centre for IPMS Birmingham for the clubs annual show. The club have moved back from the Cocksmore Wood sports centre after a couple of years and I for one was glad to see this. I arrived just after 8 am and was met by Mike Gossage who directed me to a good parking spot and I was in within a minute to the main hall. What a nice chap Mike is and thank you. As per normal it was traders on the outside and clubs in the middle. Two tables per club were allocated which was more than enough and plenty of chairs to sit. I have a link above to the traders and clubs that attended. Traders of note for me today were M.A,N firstly who had travelled all the way down from Scotland starting at 2 a.m. Now that is dedication for you. The other was Antics who sold me the new Meng Terminator in 1/35 th scale for £32, another bargain to add to the loft insulation. Clubs next. I teamed up with Leicester Modellers under the umbrella of Alan Brown. We had a good collection of models displayed including new builds in the making in the form of Shermans. This year the competition area was held in a separate room and sadly not very well supported in some classes. I found myself a bit confused and still can not give a definitive answer. So come on folks support the competition please. I really enjoyed today and would like to thank all those who asked about my wife. So on with the show |
